This Privacy Policy explains what information Aureal Network ("Aureal," "we," "us," or "our") collects when you play on our Minecraft servers or use aureal.cc, and how we use it.

1. Information We Collect

  • Minecraft account data: your username, Minecraft UUID, and IP address, collected automatically when you connect to our servers.
  • Website account data: if you register on aureal.cc, we store your email address and a securely hashed password.
  • Gameplay data: in-game statistics (kills, deaths, wins, ELO rating, etc.), rank/grant history, chat logs, and moderation records (bans, mutes, warns) tied to your account.
  • Payment data: if you make a purchase on our store, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number - Stripe handles that directly.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate the server and website, and provide the features you use (leaderboards, player profiles, chat, etc.);
  • To enforce our rules and Terms of Service, including investigating reports and applying bans/mutes;
  • To prevent cheating, fraud, and abuse;
  • To communicate with you about your account or purchases, when needed.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on a few third-party services to run Aureal:

  • Mojang/Microsoft - for Minecraft account authentication and skins;
  • Stripe - for processing store payments, if you choose to purchase something;
  • Content delivery networks (jQuery, Bootstrap, Font Awesome, Google Fonts) - to load scripts and fonts used by this website; these may see your IP address as part of serving those files, under their own privacy policies.

4. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to enforce bans, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion of your website account data at any time (see Section 6).

5. Cookies

Our website uses a session cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To make a request, contact us through aureal.cc. Note that some data (such as ban records) may be retained for legitimate moderation purposes even after a deletion request.

7. Children's Privacy

Aureal is not directed at children under 13 without parental involvement. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can remove it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continuing to use Aureal after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
